My thanks to all of you who made it along to Cabaret Futura this week. It was one of the best ever, with my old friend of 35 years standing, the great TV Smith, tore the house down with his songs, old and new.
What a joy to join him onstage again for Back from The Dead. which we wrote together in 1977!!!

It was also a delight to interview my old mentor Robert Wilson for A Mighty Big If last weekend. He was here on a rare visit to `London to re-stage his masterpiece Einstein on the NBeach at The Barbican. It was a sensation in 1973 and it still is today. …He was a model guest- funny, inspiring and wise.
Kate Tempest was my second guest – who was also funny, inspiring and wise! Music came from NYC’ s finest jazz man, Jon Regen. All three guests can be seen on the online Arts Channel www.HiBROW.TV along with some other of my interviews, and a few songs I sang with Gary Kemp a couple of months back.

On June 1st at 9pm, the BBC are screening the first of three one-hour specials on Punk Rock, called Punk Britannia, in which, I am assured, I have a few moments!
I return to Hong Kong to resume my role as Visiting Fellow at The Hong Kong Design Institute, working with lovely young students in the Digital Media, Music and Fashion faculties. What a joy.
Last week I filmed The Kick with Marcus Warren directing. I play a particularly nasty piece of work! All shot at Leyton Orient football ground…so be careful if you are walking round there alone late at night!!
I shall be doing a few festivals this summer, including Bestival and Camp Bestival…I hope we shall meet at some point
