Thanks to my three incredible guests on A Mighty Big If yesterday. Robert Wilson,  Kate Tempest and Jon Regen, were the most entertaining, amusing and inspiring guests imaginable…Bob was still telling his amazing stories even as he climbed into the taxi to take him to the airport, Kate electrified the lovely chapel with her righteous testifying, and Jon beguiled with his bittersweet songs of love and loss. And my thanks to the sell-out crowd who made it so memorable and fun

Next one should be June 14th  Watch this Space.

I was delighted to spend a few hours with the provocative and inspired Peter Cook, of Human Dynamics recently.  We were chatting about creativity and innovation, and his interview can be found in its entirety here:

His blogs and articles are always fascinating and original, and I particularly enjoyed this one on the Velvet Underground:

Great night last night at The Lyric gala fundraiser for abused women. I worked with Fyodor Pavlov-Andreevich on a monologue, and performed alongside Neneh Cherry, Eve Ensler, Thandie Newton, Rosario Dawson,Trudie Styler and many other fine actresses. As the only man invited, I thought I might be walking into a trap…but they were all delightful and we raised £thousands!!!

great to see my friends Stuart Pearson Wright, Ivona Blazwick and Louisa Buck at the After-Party too

A MEMORY, A MONOLOGUE, A RANT AND A PRAYER

AN EVENING OF THOUGHT-PROVOKING, INSPIRING, GROUNDBREAKING THEATRE

Following her phenomenal world-wide success for The Vagina Monologues Tony Award-winning playwright, performer and activist EVE ENSLER returns to the West End to perform her monologue ‘Fur is Back’ from a collection of monologues from the book A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant and A Prayer.

Also starring Rosario Dawson (Sin City, 25th Hour), Trudie Styler, Meera Syal OBE, rock legend Neneh Cherry, Richard Strange (The Doctors of Madness) and many, many more. Music by Arthur Baker.

As impressive as the cast list are the directors including Gurinda Chadha (Bend it Like Beckham), Sue Dunderdale (RADA), Chris Dercon (Director of the Tate Modern), Tamara Harvey (One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest), Marcus Warren (The Heavy) and Stuart Pearson Wright. It seems suddenly the world of art has collided with the world of theatre. There will be repercussions!
